Hello readers, as anime is a huge part of my life I have decided to create an anime watch list for 2017, for any shows that I believe should be a least given a glance at before these great shows get sucked down the, what I like to call the anime shit wind pipe. This list will not include movies, second seasons and ova’s for obvious reasons.
Battle Girl High School
The world has been contaminated by Irosu (mysterious invaders who suddenly appeared), and humans find themselves restricted and contained. Standing boldly against these invaders are ordinary girls, without a powerful army or even weapons. The Shinjugammine Girls Academy is a school for these “Hoshimori” (Star Guardians) destined to fight the Irosu.
Love and Lies
Lies are forbidden and love is doubly forbidden. In the near future, when young people in Japan turn sixteen, they are assigned a marriage partner by the government. People don’t have to go through the trouble of looking for someone, and everyone accepts that the country will find a compatible partner to make them happy. Yukari Nejima is fifteen years old. He lives in a small corner of the country, and just can’t seem to get ahead in life. Both academically and athletically he’s below average. But in within him, he hides a heart burning with passion! In this world in which love is forbidden, what will happen to him when he falls in love?
High Score Girl
The year is 1991 and 6th grader Yaguchi Haruo only has video games to live for. He’s not popular in school and he’s neither handsome, funny, nice nor even friendly. The only thing he has going for him is that he is good at video games. One day at the local arcade, he plays Oono Akira, a fellow classmate but who’s popular, smart, pretty and a rich girl that absolutely destroys him at Street Fighter II. Not only does he lose to her 30 times in a row, he can’t beat her at any game. Haruo can’t seem to shake Akira off as she follows him from arcade to arcade everyday after school and beats him every time. As weird as it sounds, the odd couple begins a strange bond and friendship.
Souryo to Majiwaru Shikiyoku no Yoru ni
The hot romance follows a young woman who encounters a friend at a reunion and finds that he’s grown into a handsome adult… who also happens to be bald thanks to becoming a monk at his family’s temple. But, before he was a monk, he was a man, so, things heat up.
Kenka Banchou Otome: Girl Beats Boys
Hinako Nakayama has spent all of her life being raised in state-run orphanages, without ever knowing her family. As she’s about to enter high school, Hinako is approached by Hikaru, a boy who claims to be her twin brother. According to Hikaru they are the children of the head of the powerful Onigashima yakuza family, and Hikaru wants Hinako to switch places with him at Shishiku Academy, an all-boys school overrun with the nation’s toughest delinquents. Can Hinako save her brother, find romance, and become the new boss of the school?
Hinako is poor at speaking, and lives in a rural part of Japan. She wants to improve her speech to be able to talk to people freely, so in high school, she transfers to Tokyo and plans to join a theater club. When she arrives, it turns out her boarding house is a secondhand bookstore, and a girl who eats books lives there.
I hope these titles live up to there promises of exciting adventures or slice of life happiness, but until they come out I shall wait to see if there selling golden roses or piles of shit spray painted gold and I promise as soon as they come out I will write a review for each of the first episodes but until then stay weird.
